Upgrading to Win7.......

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrading from Vista to windows 7. But I dont really know if my drivers and things will work nicely in Windows 7, meaning with no crashing or freezing, etc. My specs are:

Gigabyte UD4P mobo
i7 920
3GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
1TB HDD
XFX HD4870 1GB GDDR5
(have to update sig?!!)

So I wanted to make sure if my drivers will be compatible with the win7 OS. Thanks.

Gigabyte probably has all the Win7 drivers you need.

I would say be cautious with "upgrading" in mind. I've personally done a dozen of them so far and only one has been stable.

I now recommend backing up data and doing a clean install.

Win7 can use Vista drivers no prob, so driver support is a already well established.

updating vs clean install is a crap shoot. so be aware you could be in for a headache or three if you update

you should have no problems, I went from xp to 7 and had no problems with the migration but if you have no data to lose then I'd go with a clean install
