Upon restart, diNovo keyboard input is not recognized at Windows XP login screen...

Any of you Logitech diNovo Bluetooth keyboard owners, does this problem persist with you guys? Everytime this happens, I have to connect an older ps2 keyboard up just so I can log into Windows. But there on out, everything works with the bluetooth keyboard.

It is just at the login screen that none of my keys will be inputted. And when I leave the screen on long enough to head into the screensaver, by a press of the media buttons, it is able to recover from the screensaver (no other normal keys on the keyboard will wake it). And it is also able to recognize the sleep/standby button.

My mouse works fine and there is no problems with it. The media pad's inputs will not register period...

never had the problem but try hooking up a regular keyboard, installing the newest drivers (or maybe even try rolling back), then seeing if it'll work with ur diNovo.

I am using Setpoint 3.30 under XP and I have went through uninstalling and reinstalling that version and even redownloaded it from Logitech.

At the system post prompt, it recognized my keys for getting into the bios, and it recognized any input right up until XP's login splash screen where only my mouse can register. This problem still exists even when I do do this... Safe mode or not, it is also the same under safe mode as well.

No one has a diNovo that has encountered this problem? Period? Is something just wrong with my machine??? I am not about to perform another fresh install again.... Not when I have everything set the way I want it to...

Ok.....

Since I couldn't find any advice, I have took it upon my own to figure out where the cause of this maybe.

The fix I have found was I had to switch to have the BIOS disable the USB port 60/64 emulation. This apparantly fixed the issue upon no keyboard input in the login screen as well as having Control panel recognizing and displaying the Logitech device (where there was none at all)

For the curious, the keyboard worked before after I used a previous keyboard to help login and showed no problems once in windows. However, by changing that setting was I able to have the diNovo fully working.

I think these forums for serious computer help and discussion has severly degraded over these years....
