Ups and BUY.com

Bought a Hard Drive from Buy.com and followed the tracking # from UPS and they said it was delivered yesterday. Well no hard drive was on my doorstep(or anywhere else).
Anyway on BUY.com site they say they cant make a claim until 10 days has past. Whats up with that? They said they delived it yesterday!
So, my main question is what kinda hoops do i need to jump through in order to get a new Hard drive or my money back?? Anyone else had this problem and what did you do? and how did it turn out? good or bad?

BTW do they send that stuff insured?

Hey, same thing happened to me. The address was correct on the package but the carrier still delivered it to the worng location. Call UPS (you can get the number from their web page) and ask them where they delivered the package. They will probably have the address where it was delivered and you can go get it or you can make them go retrieve it and then deliver it to you.

Yah, unfortunately, if it wasn't actually lost, you have to deal with UPS...I've had packages misdirected, delivered wrong, etc...and had to call them up and raise some hell to get my stuff. Seems like ever since the strike several years ago....it's been down hill with them since.....

So your saying i might be screwed? unless it turns up somewhere of course.

See im thinking a neighbor of mine may have swiped it from my door step..I cant actually prove this..just my suspisions.

Buy.com does have that crazy rule about ten days but once the ten days is up they are more than willing to re-ship the item or refund your money.

I had this happen on a item I ordered. The only drawback was the waiting time. Also, be courteous with them and they'll go out of their way to expedite things however 10 day rule still applies.

I guess ill cool off till the ten days passed and then call buy.com
I'll be cool about it when i call them and see how it goes.

Well at least call UPS and see what address they recorded as the delivery location. You never know it may not have been stolen but simply miss delivered.

That same senario happend to me, my dad hasseled ups on the phone for half an hour until they finaly admited they delivered to wrong address, and my dad drove accross the street and got it from the address
