Hello,

I'm supposed to recieve some stuff from Dell, but Dell somehow requires the packages to be signed on delivery ... and we got nobody home between like 8am and 6pm ... they already made 2 failed deliveries, tomorrow is the last one ...

Is there any way to make them leave packages at the porch (they always do that ) or some other way to get packages ?

Maybe we can write to them, to deliver (for signature) these packages to our neighbors ?

Thanks a lot.

Go to the UPS distribution center and pick them up. Give UPS a call, they'll tell you where to go.

If they missed you, they leave an info notice that tell you what your options are. Call the number on that Info notice and they'll help you out

Yep. That's the way to do it. Call immediately before it gets put on the truck to be sent back.

I just resolved a similar situation with DHL (hopefully). I live alone and work 10 hours a day and recently joined a beer club. Signature required - alcohol.

I ended having to have the beer club change my address to "hold at DHL" with the zipcode of the closest distribution center. I have to call them every month around the time that I should get my delivery and see if they have it yet, then go pick it up. Luckily it's only a few blocks from work.

Good luck getting your stuff.

nope, you weren't at home, you lose out on your package, check on ebay in about a week, they'll have put it up by then.

It won't be put on the truck (to return to the sender) that quick. I think the package will be held at the local station for several business days

I check the batteries, fuse and inverter in that order when this happens. Nothing worse than your UPS dumping your load. Your load is important, most likely it butters your bread so take care of it and it will take care of you.

UPS has really gone down hill last 6 months.

It's almost like they are doing it on purpose.

Driving downhill saves fuel.

LMAO!

what?
well, i did see someone researching when people are least likely to be home so we can screw them.
the drivers don't have time to screw around. they have a lot to deliver and not a lot of time to do it in.

I really don't see how UPS is at fault here...

The package needs to be signed for. The home owner isn't home so UPS leaves notice. On this notice it gives you options. It tells you that you can pick the item up or they will attempt to redeliver the package. The will try three times. The contact info IS RIGHT ON THE SLIP. OP DID YOU TRY READING IT!!!!

If the OP can't figure all this out, it's not from a lack of trying from UPS.

OP are you really this dense?
