Cool can't wait for May 21 shops should have them back up for sale. If they actually all have the gigabit chips would make it better. Though some of us have no use for them.

OK, I guess I screwed the pooch here. I guess this thread was about the IS7, NOT the IS7-G, which is what I want (because of the 4 SATA ports, etc.). Sorry.

The Specs he listed above definitely don't accord to what the IS7-G has.... besides the Gigabit ethernet it does fit in precisely with the IS7 specs though.

Ok, then if I may ask another question, besides the 4 SATA ports and gigabit ethernet, it there a fundamental difference between the IS7 and IS7-G?

The only difference it seems in the early shipping boards is the IS7-G has 4 SATA ports and Gigabit ethernet, while the IS7 has 2 SATA ports as well as Gigabit ethernet. I can't justify $60 for two SATA ports =P

The IS7-G also comes packaged with 1 Serillel kit.... I don't belive the site mentions that, but everyone I now that has an IS7-G got one in the box.

I have a quick question about gigabit ethernet. I still have a 10MPS hub, but if I was to buy a board with a gigabit NIC built in, would it work? Thanks for your help. BTW, nice board!

Yes it would. The new gigabit LAN is backwards compatible with standard 10/100 LAN. It will just work at 100Mbit speeds.

Nope. It comes with two SATA cables and two 4-pin to SATA power cables. But no serillel adapters.

Is anyone having any success using the s-ata connectors on p-ata drives w/adapters? I've heard Abit changed something and now the s-ata -> p-ata adapters don't work.

I know Abit's Serillel 1 does not work, but their Serillel 2 kit does work properly.
Most third party adapters seem to work properly so far as I've seen but I don't know if that holds true for all.

I'm probably going to pick up a KingMax PATA to SATA adapter if I choose the IS7... hopefully it should be okay.
