My dog pissed along the fence for a decade and it took a few years before I could go past that spot without using Weed-B-Gone to keep the weeds down. Now where he went #2...

Year after he passed on the weeds were back. And he pissed on that same spot multiple times per day for years.

Good grief. Next thing the OP will be looking to get revenge on pigeons.

Hi all,

Today I had a package delivered by the UPS driver and, since I have the day off, I was at home to accept the package when he arrived. After he gave me the delivery, I went to the window to watch him leave. Well, to my surprise, instead of walking directly back to his truck, the driver walked over to a tree in my side yard. He then proceeded to stand behind the tree (for cover) and peed directly in my yard. He was only about 12 feet from the house when he did it and this completely pisses me off. I realize I should have said something then but was so shocked that I really didn't know how to react. Does anyone know what I shoud/can do?

DOn't worry about it. He's just marking the house to keep the FedEx guy away.

i think this piss on the lawn thing is overstated.
if anything ive seen grass grow like crazy where regular pissings occured
at my dads house we used to piss off the back deck on the regular and man the grass was so dense and green you could tell it appreciated it.

ill add.
there are few things more liberating than pissing outside.
no need to aim, no need to even hold it (if you are a dude) just let it fly.
hell, i used to piss out my bedroom window when the mood took me.
fuck it.

Male or female? Females are really the culprits since they squat to pee and more than likely will go back to the same spot.

If I don't want yellow dead spots, I have to douse the area where my dogs pee wit water to dilute it.

So...unless the UPS guy is a female dog, no harm no foul.

If you didn't live in your mom's basement and was an actual home owner, you'd be offended by someone peeing on your lawn. Obviously, you don't respect other people's personal property.

What would you have told him if he asked to use your restroom?

If when giving me my package, he had asked to use the restroom because he had to go really bad, I would have let him. I don't mind when people use my toilets. I do mind, though, when people act like some untrained animal and treat my yard as some big diaper. There are woods about 20 feet away from where he peed. If he had walked those 20 feet into the woods and peed, I would not have a problem. But its the fact that he peed in the yard on my expensive sod where me and my dogs walk. There is no excuse for that sort of behavior.
You can't be serious.

How do people like you manage to survive to 30 without having a heart attack?

It's just pee, man. Calm down.

Choose your battles wisely. This isn't worth getting upset over. I am certain that your time and mental anguish can be much better spent concentrating on other things that matter much more.

Just let it go, he had to go...probably really bad. He's probably driving around for hours on the road and public restrooms are limited in residential areas.

If you spent that much on your lawn, I'm surprised that you weren't pissed that he WALKED on your precious lawn.

Human pee has a much lower level of nitrogen than dog piss. If human urine makes yellow spots on your lawn, then you're probably overfertilizing it to begin with. It should not be running so high in nitrogen that a little pee will put it into toxic levels.

You should just wait for him to do it again, then shoot him in the back as he is walking away. Apparently that's ok now.

Wait, what? You don't make sense.

I don't think I'd do what the UPS man did, but if a UPS man came and did that in my yard, I'd laugh. Does that mean I don't respect other people's property? It just means I don't care so much about my own.

That's why you should have confronted him then. The only way to stop that behavior is to catch them in the act. I've found a stern "NO" and a swat on the nose with a rolled up newspaper to be pretty effective.

Don't forget the positive reinforcement, though. You'd also need to pull him into the house and praise him when he pees in your toilet.

Male - Black Lab, Female - Yellow Lab. Yes, she squats to pee but, again, hasn't done damage to the yard since the yard's been healthy.

If it was really that effective, I'd tell her to go piss on the poison ivy since I can't seem to get that shit to stop growing.

No, it means that the UPS guy had no respect for your property.
