URGENT!! how to get Outlook Express back?

Hi, i just did a horrible step. i uninstalled Outlook Express.

and now i can't get it back. I know IE6 sp1 has OE too.. so now i want to uninstall and reinstall to get OE back.

but i can't find a function to uninstall under control panel.

i just don't know what to do to get OE back.

someone please help

Hey Faye,

Did you try one of my suggestions from your other post?

#1)System restore to a date when it worked

#2)Boot to WinXP disk and go to REPAIR

just 2 minutes ago, i got it running again.

actually i am kinda scare when using "System Restore".

don't u think the "term" is so big?

Slogun, thanks anyways. but can u explain more how to use a WinXP boot disk to repaire software?

what i did to make it working was i just copied the old directory of Outlook express from Win98 that i was using(from an old drive). hahaa, just wondering if it will work, and it does.!!

i've never try the System restore utitlity. i always make mistake that i am afraid that i can distroy the System Restore point and i can never get it back,. cuz i always delete stuffs in my harddrive.

OK, glad you got it working.

You really should acquaint yourself with these two techniques which can be very helpful for fixing things.

System restore is easy to use and is fully reversible.

Booting to the WinXP is also easy and helpful. To do it, just pop your WinXp CD in the CD-ROM drive and restart your maching. As your machine is booting, it should ask you if you want to boot from the WinXP cd. Say yes.
After it boots up, one of the screens that appears will ask you if you want to REPAIR your WinXP installation, just say yes.

Some comps will not boot to a CD, until you change the boot sequence in the BIOS. For some computers you have to set the CD-ROM as the first boot device in order to get it to boot to a cd.
