THEY ARE IN HIS COUNTRY, how less clear of a link do you want MCFLY?
Settle down, take a pill. You're arguing with the wrong person. Do yourself a favor and try to stay out of discussions you clearly haven't been following, mmmm...K? My response was to SnapIT, not you.
www.un.org - read up buddy boy...
Wow, that was a definitive response. Big zero.

The important thing to remember is the American position is LEGAL and MORALLY right, and we don't need UN support and certainly no assistance in this effort. The rest of you might as well climb up a tree and start eating your cheese....

Ohh dear... I thought we had cleared up the santa clause bit. While the legality of this war is certainly arguable, the morality is completely non-existent. Once again a leader that we actively supported with chemical weapons, and passively sat by as he gassed kurds.

I'm not saying we shouldn't get rid of him, but please don't believe all that rhetorical nonsense about good and evil.(next thing you know, we'll have god on our side!!!). Evil is only evil when it no longer adheres to our interests. Such is the nature of amorality.

I would love to see any information you might have that indicates the United States defended Saddam's action against his own people using WMD, that was 15 years ago, 12 years ago we attacked him. That is a very close timetable, we were hardly supporting him at that late of a date. Was he convienent in dealing with fundamentalist uprising in Iran att he time, yes. Did we know he would go on to create one of the most oppressive regimes in modern history, no.

How can you say the morality of this war is non-existent? In any international court of law he would easily be convicted of genocide against the very people he is in charge of protecting. He has sponsored terrorist activities as well as used his government to commit a terrorist act of their own, the attempted assasination of President Bush the 1st. He has attacked two of his neighboors already. Notice how there is no resistance from Arab leadership in the regions other countries. They are all very happy to see Saddam go, they know him far better than we ever will, I trust their opinion more than yours. Unfortunately when TV crews film in Baghdad there MUST be an Iraqi offical present, and all citizens voice complete satisfaction and approval of Saddam, when spoken to alone and free to say what they wish it's often a very different story. Don't bother asking the descedants of the 60,000 Kurds he gassed what they think of him.

Notice how none of the ambassadors that spoke today at the un BEFORE France had their whine NEVER mentioned them by name as the permanent member committed to a veto, Russia, Germany, and China all maintained this position as well so any of the 4 could have been inferred. What was the French response, wahwahwah, we were singled out.

Face it, collectively even the EU is not an equal to the US, much of the opposition to this war has been based on this. France has small penis syndrome, not being a major player in the international scene anymore has them trying to assert their postion as the leader of the EU, lol. Amusing the rest of the EU would fall in line behind, personally I would have backed Spain. An up and coming country with an economy sure to be on the rise, we will see to that. Sorry to hear Pakistan's market crumbled today, the war drums hurt but not nearly as bad as the announcement of the pulling of the offer of US aid in concession for use of strategic land for the upcoming training exercise . Align yourself with a nation committed to opposing the will of the United States more so than any actions based on reality or the facts at hand, even enforcing resolutions they themselves agreed upon SEVENTEEN TIMES OVER TWELVE YEARS.

Have you checked on why that is? Look closely at the Yemen situation for example. Also, have you noticed how the people of those countries feel?

I am glad that this is making other dictators in the region happy. That's a great reason to go to war

That's a nail worth hitting twice! Why don't you armchair wannabe's just sit back and watch the news. The spooge you anti-bush/war/oil/USA dote heads are fencing as intellect is laughable. To think that you really have a grasp on some sort of knowledge that is relevant compared to what the world leaders understand and have at their disposal.

You're more irrelevant than the U.N.!

You chirping birds.

I will tell you Iran has a population of @ 65 million, more than half of those under 25, a clear majority of them ready for democratic and secular rule.

Israel will remain, a viable PPalestinian state will be established as a FREE nation as well, Saudi is already going that way, done in 5 years, Iraq will have a free election within a year, that's most of the region. I'm willing to bet that incredible demographic happening in Iran will take care of the Islamic republic now in place.

Too bad you read my post as a personal attack on you Alistar7, it actually has nothing to do with you other than I agreed with the quote I referenced. The subsequent wording is for the benefit of anyone else who, well - feels as though I'm addressing them - so if that really is you... so be it. But for the record - My only comment regarding yours is that I said that it was a comment worth hitting twice (as in, I tend to agree with that).

Hairpin trigger on that sawed off shotgun there Alistar7?

How long before the debate turns to: we have a right to the oil for saving the Iraqi people at the great expense of our treasury as opposed to, we're robbing them blind just like we always intended and we'd love to go home, but there's still a threat and will be as long as the dip stick's showing oil.

Erm wait a minute....

We forgot to steal the oil last time, so that's why we're goin there this time, right Moonstruck?

Seriously, though I wonder if we'll expect something 'back' after the democrapic society is set up in Irak for helping them overthrow that evil butt tyrant Saddumb. Plus we can sell weapons and what not to them to help them rebuild after they are totally decimated. Set up some hotels and casinos there too. Rake in millions. Makes oil look like nothing Sailor Moon. If oil was all that you thought it was, then Iroq would be the superpower not the U.S. And Saddumb would be getting ready to strike at the US to protect Lars Ulrich from WMD since Bush keeps on threatening him by Saying Nuke U Lars.

It's going to be cool. Once we defeat Saddam and set up a vassel state we can get back the money by selling them WMD. And we can make sure to get copies of the receipts for the French.

It is Iraq.

Not Irak.

Also, what democratic society are you talking about ? Like what your allies have in Saudia Arabia, Pakistan and Afganisthan ?

I have visited every democratic nation US has left behind ..including a recent trip to Kabul. I love the democracy there

Try Aryana .the national airline of Afganisthan which uses 2 old Ruski Illushin IL76 aircrafts DONATED by indian Air force.

Do not offer right wing lip service.. let us just get the oil and hell with Arabs.

Daaas riiiiiiight. Once we get a foothold in Iraq, the rest of the region will be easy. The UN really made it too easy by punting on 3rd down. I was worried it would take alot longer but never look a gift horse in the mouth, eh?
