I appologize for not reading past the first page, but the bickering got old (I actually should, technically, be doing work, you see).
Nitemare, while I frequently worry about hating Muslims too much, it's people like you that let me know I'm not as radical as some. Not only have these people been held without a trial, but it has been too long to be believable if they do go to trial by a military tribunal. Many people will think that while some may have been guilty, the innocent were convicted just so that the government doesn't look bad (if they are acquitted, then the government would have been holding innocents against their will and for no good reason). If they're guilty, I don't care if they're hung from their toes and beat regularly, but they absolutely deserve a speedy trial. I'm sickened that you don't see how neccessary that is.
Konichiwa, can I ask why you chose a female avatar? In another thread you told me that you were a man and I was confused. Just curious. BTW, I am also looking out my window for signs of the apocalypse as I'm agreeing with you on this one for the most part. However, I flat-out don't believe that the government was planning a "death camp." I don't care what one source said, there're too many eyes on Gitmo for them to have just gassed all of the freaking prisoners, buried them in a mass grave and been able to cover it up. I'm not saying it wasn't an idea of some of the generals (there are some days when I'm irrational with anger and would agree with them), but it would never have been a serious thought by anyone in the highest levels of power.
