There are now almost 46 million people in the United States on food stamps

Genna Saucedo supervises cashiers at a Wal-Mart in Pico Rivera, California, but her wages aren't enough to feed herself and her 12-year-old son.

Saucedo, who earns $9.70 an hour for about 26 hours a week and lives with her mother, is one of the many Americans who survive because of government handouts in what has rapidly become a food stamp nation.

Also - 668 bucks a month of food stamps? Steak and lobsters for all! Go to a walmart 1st of the month at midnight and see what kind of people are on food stamps and what they're buying. Go at least once for an eye opener of what YOUR MONEY is being used for and by whom.

First off, Minimum Wage is Theoretically the wage at which people are supposed to be able to sustain themselves.

People are robbing the Government, and/or taking free money, when they accept food stamps.

Second, Food stamps mainly go to people that are robbing the rest of us tax payers.

It will just hasten the collapse of an unsustainable system. Since there's no hope of internal reform it's the best option right now anyway. Destroy it all and start over with something that can last.

1. This isn't the 'fault' of democrats, or any political ideology or economic system alone. It's a cumulative failure of falsehoods and problems on all sides. There are AT LEAST as many problems with every aspect of conservatism, free marketeers, anarchists, libertarians, tea partiers, neocons, etc as there are with democrats, liberals, socialists, etc. In other words, you're not being proved right, you're being proved wrong. You're just too fucking stupid to realize or accept it.

2. You didn't pick up a gun and force change when all else failed, nor did you start a working nation where people could find refuge, so you still carry the blame, same as the rest of us.

You don't understand Obama employing cloward-piven to make so many dependent on goverment that the costs force the people to call out for radical societal change.

Simply lie. I know a couple that gets food stamps. All the mother had to do was claim the boyfriend didn't live with her and the kids, and they were approved for stamps. Early 20s, popped out 2 kids within a couple years. Think these people have kids with the expectation of government support for extra income.
