About a month ago, my wired Logitech G5 USB mouse stopped working. After a reboot, it started working again - but then would slowly start cutting out (the DPI switcher light on the top of the mouse would start cutting in and out, until finally it would just go dead).
I switched USB ports, and it would be fine for a bit, but then had the same issue. I replaced it with a new mouse (Roccat), but it also stopped working, so I took it back. Around this time, I also started getting BSOD's: an IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO. Keep in mind that I did not install any new hardware at this time.
So at this point I think it's the USB ports on the motherboard (a Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3), and so I replace the motherboard with an ASRock H77M, reinstall Windows 7 Pro and I'm good... for about a day. Then the mouse starts cutting out again. Additionally, the keyboard has gone out with it a couple times.
Frustrated.. I do a little googling and see that it could be a bad PSU rail. So I replace my 2011 OCZ 750W PSU with an 850W Seasonic. Didn't help.
I tried replacing the keyboard with a wired keyboard and uninstalled the solar program that comes with the Logitech, but I'm still having the same problem. The only thing that works is moving the mouse and keyboard around to different ports, but sooner or later, the mouse starts cutting out again.
Currently, it's been a couple days and the mouse hasn't frozen where it's unresponsive, but it has moments where it's cutting out - and trying to play BF4 is becoming an issue.
The only new hardware is a GTX 770 that I got in November and has been working fine until 1 month ago when the mouse first died.
So I'm guessing it must be a software or driver conflict?
