Ok hte first question is kind of easy. Two monitors, same brand (sony), same size, etc etc. Only real diference is that one is usb and the other is standard. The A420(USB) is slghtly more expensive than the E400, and E400 is TCO99 compliant while the A420 is TCO92 compliant(whatever that means), so sugestions: To E400 or to A420?? Also, is USB suport under linux working well? I think i saw somewhere that it wasn't.
And now the more general question: What's the use of USB on a non mobile computer. It's was supposed to replace the serial, but it seems to be slower. What's the deal with that? Is it true or not? I heard that USB is good for low speed gadgets, monitors, printers. How about a modem? To USB or not to USB? And an external ZIP drive(i know it ain't the best choice to backup, but i'll need one anyway to use in other computers). Is USB a good choice here? I mean, paralel is faster than USB i think, and even serial isn't that slower. I'm confused here, help me out dudes .
