USB Wireless vs PCI card Wireless? Which is better?

Hi, I just got a wireless network all setup and I wanted to know which would be better for a computer. Would a wireless USB be better or worse than a PCI Wireless card that should be installed? Are either of them faster or better than the other? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give me.

I've used both and personally from experience the PCI one was MUCH better. The linksys instant wireless series (or something like that) was pure crap. The antenna broke off, the drivers were buggy, etc. This was a while ago so they might have changed. Personally: Hard Wired>Pci Wireless> USB Wireless

How the Antenna broke off? By itself, with no outside intervention.

Your personal experience with one card, does not make it a rule.

Which is exactly why I said "Personally" indicating that I was stating an opinion not a "rule"

And it was a very cheaply made piece of equipment.

For stationary applications, wireless bridges should also be considered. They're driver free, hence OS-independent, can be always on, allow sharing of wireless connections by multiple devices, have greater flexibility in placement, and sometimes even have a better wireless radio.

E.g. Buffalo Wireless Ethernet Converter.

E.g. Buffalo WHR-G54S, WHR-HP-G54, or Linksys WRT54GL or other compatible device with third-party firmware such as DD-WRT running in client bridge mode. This is most flexible, but requires some techy setup risk.
