great post. i will cash in on that one. half of brain getting into USC? in case you didn't noticed, USC's average SAT score for the incoming class was higher than the scores for fucla (UCLA). USC was also selected as the Time College of the Year for 2000. our endownment just topped $2 billion, putting us in the top 20 nationally. our medical school just received a $110 million grant. and being a USC ambassador (class of 2000, degrees in computer science and biology), i decided to stay at USC in the MD/PhD program. half a brain? our basketball team is kicking ass too--going to kill fucla this thursday

Just because you have all those 'records' and 'awards' doesn't mean that your school is better. If UCLA had tons of money to waste and throw around, you can bet that we'd be getting the same awards.

Without all the money that USC has, it would be a second-rate school. Well, it still is a second rate school compared to UCLA.

first of all, UCLA has perhaps the biggest operational budget of all the universities in this country; your annual cost of operations exceeds a billion dollars.
to suggest that UCLA is a poor public institution is misleading. to imply that usc outspends ucla is further incorrect. you bruins are just too scared to realize that ucla is no longer the overwhelming choice of academics in the area.

bottom line: at pauley on thursday, it's time for you bruins to put up or shut up.

UCLA = Asian Subcontinent. High crime rate. Bad campus for bike riding. Every car with UCLA Alumni on the license plate frame is either an immigrant nanny or a two-bit nobody.
