use touchpad as a tablet possible?

is it possible to get some sort of pen so i can draw using a pen instead of using my finger on my laptops touchpad? or does it only react to skin and wide prints? maybe mess with the settings or perhaps theres a program allowing precise touches from a palm pilot pen or something. wacom tablets are $80 at the cheapest but since i have a notebook already, cant i use that somehow?

damn, thats cheap as hell! makes me wonder if it works good at all though. it is kinda perfect for me since i dont want to spend a lot of money and i dont care about pressure sensitivity, just writting basic stuff. it almost looks TOO cheap to even work good at all.

do you happen to know anyone that uses it? or maybe have it yourself?

im thinking if i should get the small or large pad, although the guy said it has the same writeable area...

On that page, the performace rating is 2/5. At $4.95, I guess it's worth a shot.

No, I don't have it, but i know you'll have to wait for a while for them to be shipp it to you (about 7 to 10 days).. since it'll be shipped from HK, China.

If you have a palm device(doesn't need to be particularly new) give http://sourceforge.net/projects/palmwac/ a look. It's pretty cool.

yea, for $5, you dont have much to lose. def worth a shot. i dont really mind the wait so much, will just be annoying.

That palm pilot program is interesting too.

Although, today i found out my dad has a touch screen monitor. its a cheap monitor and it doesnt display very well in terms of quality and such but if i can use a palm pilot pen on that, that would be the ultimate! if that doesnt work, then ill turn to the $5 or palm pilot option if i can find one.
