Use Wattman or vendor utility?

Are vendor tooks like Afterburner, Asus GPU Tweak etc worth installing?
I found Wattman worked well without problems with the RX570.

And why is Unigine Heaven still used instead of the newer Valley/Superposition? Free 3dmark takes too long for checking tweaks because of the demo which can't be turned off in the free version on each run.

After some testing. I found Unigine's tools and game oriented demos/benches at guru3d (download section) work well and they are alot smaller than 3dmark which is almost 4Gb.
I don't like Furmark/Kombustor since they mostly test the vrms and nowadays drivers will throttle clock speeds when you run them.

Afterburner is a great tool for squeezing a bit more power out of cards; more user-friendly than Wattman imo.

A lot of people use Cinebench for GPU testing, but that's openGL and not DX. I don't benchmark too often, so I'm probably not up to speed on what all the cool kids are using.

wattman allows control over the individual p-states while afterburner does not, which is really nice.

wattman deletes all your settings if you have a video card related crash, which is annoying.

yeah, also you cannot save different settings in a bank or memory and apply them, you need to redone everything if your driver crashes :-(
