User opinion on ECS K7S5A ???

Picked one up saturday. Runnin with at XP 1700 overclocked to 1.61 GHz 11X 147 using CPUFSB. CPU temp via onboard sensor 74F Vcore voltage 1.74V. I simply plucked out the old Asus P3V4X and PIII 600 Copermine @ 800 and put in this board. Windows XP recognized everything and have not had one single problem. I am runnin 384 megs PC 133 SDRam at present and will pick up 512 megs of DDR ram next month.

i bought one that came with an XP 1600+ and a volcano 5 HSF for $185 plus shipping. Shipping and insurance it came out to 203 i think. i can't remember. i think i bought it from microstar or something like that online a few months ago. it ran great when i had it. but i sold it and bought a soyo dragon+ for the sole purpose of overclocking.

How exactly do you set the FSB on this board?

You can download one of the overclocking bios' that are available at ocworkbench. That's the only place I know of to get them.

Flash with an oc bios and you'll be able to set the fsb higher than 133. [

just bought 4 of these from newegg,all systems installed perfectly. one mob experenced a lock problem and rma'd back to newegg. they are replacing w/new k7s5a (2-day delivery @ no cost) newegg is a great company to deal with if you purchase the ecs.....

u can use the software fsb manipulator, forgot the name of the software. there is the oc bios, but make sure ur fsb and ur memory settings are the same setting this at 100/133 or 133/166 will actually be slower than if the fsb and memory were sychronized.
