Xpadder is a piece of crap that doesn't work!
Except when it does. Which is every time I use it for an old game that isn't suited to a mouse and KB (the only new game like that which I have is Giana Sisters: TD),
with a wired XB360 controller, or Logitech Dual Action (for when I need a dual shock layout).
I've also used it well as an accessibility enabler, with no-name XB360- and PS3-compatible arcade sticks (using MotionInJoy's driver, with a little INF editing), in the past, as a cheap alternative to expensive pointing devices (sure the latter would be more durable, and might be paid for by health insurance, but the former could be had right then for <$20, instead of after all the red tape went through).
It may not have worked for your Saitek, but it is a good piece of software.
