It has been a really slow weekend! We've only received one donation since Friday, guess with the war slowing down it isn't as much on people's minds. Anyway, we have done a great job by raising over $1,600 for the troops! We have 6 more days until Phase II is over.

heheheh...

Looks like DC really knows how to put the money up in time of need, and man when it comes to competing it looks like we have little competition over here in OT

Lets get this up to $1000 before Easter!

Okay, I wanna donate but I want to be counted as being from FS/FT rather than OT or DC, can I do that? I've always kind of been the wild card anyway, I'm used to it We don't have a whole thread over in FS/FT (YET), but I heard about this one so I headed on over Somebody PM me and tell me what I need to do, please - I'm startin' dinner for the rugrats so if you can simplify it I'll be grateful!

I would be willing to cover the final PayPal costs as part of a donation to the OT side of things. PM if this sounds like something useful.

sassy1 - You may be counted as you wish. Just indicate your preference to JWMiddleton when you send your donation. If you have any words of encouragement for the troops, just PM me with them, and we'll include your message with the others.

tarheelmm,
Thank you for your generous offer. Please contact JWMiddleton for details.

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all who have contributed!

Hey just wanted to leave a quick comment on here and say "thanks" to all of you who appreciate what we as the military are doing. Sometimes it seems like we're the underappreciated, red-headed stepchildren of society, and it is largely what we call "Esprit de Corps" that allows us to continue on in spite of that.

Imagine being in theater and fighting for your country and freedom itself, losing friends to enemy forces, and you look towards your homeland to find thousands of people waving signs like "we support our troops when they kill their officers," referring to the Army Soldier who threw grenades into the tents of his officers. It's hard to imagine that people can be so vehemently against us and especially that process which allows them to protest in the first place. It is definitely refreshing to hear that some people recognize our work and sacrifices. Thank you.

DJ Fuji,
Right On!!! Keep in mind those you mention are a very loud minority, most of us are squarely behind you and the rest of the military!

I can appreciate the irony of fighting & giving your life so that those who remain behind can protest what you are doing.
It's a great proof that what you are doing works though.
If we didn't let them protest then we would be no better than that dictatorship that was just toppled.

One of the cool things that is happening here in the Northwest is that there are pro troops rallys & "protests". I've seen several of these myself, a group standing along the road waving flags with signs that say things like "We support our troops" & "God Bless our troops". It's really heartwarming

DJ Fuji,

It is WE who thank YOU! This tiny little expression of our gratitude cannot even begin to show our real appreciation, our respect, and our admiration for all of you.

/steps back, snaps heels together with the familiar "SMACK" of my corchoran jump boots, and snaps a squared-away salute.

That's for you, and all your comrades, Corporal!

Thank you, and GodSpeed!

Damn, I've got $17 in my paypal account I'd like to do something with, but I don't have a CC and it won't let me send money. Is there any way around entering a CC# to send money I have in my paypal account?

I figured if you had verified money in your account then you could send it. Don't know what the problem is?!?

Well, still nothing new...2.25 hours to go!

That's excellent! I am a member of an online vets group and we have about a dozen people currently deployed to the region. One was injured fairly badly in the attack on the Army command post a few weeks back, but is doing well.

We have raised several hundred dollars ourselves and sent many packages to the region. On behalf of the 1st Veteran's Battalion, thank you for the support.

I wish I could forward the voice mail on my cell phone to everyone who helped with this project, but I can't. But, Salena of the Atlanta Office of the U.S.O. left me a message letting me know how much they appreciate all we've done! She ended it with a "God Bless!" I was in the air when she called with my telephone turned off like a good little traveler should!

Thanks again everyone!
