USPS Regional Rate Box

According to USPS.com

Priority Mail Regional Rate Boxes are available for Priority Mail commercial parcels and Merchandise Return Service (MRS) parcels returned at Priority Mail prices.

The Regional Rate Boxes are available for Priority Mail commercial base and commercial plus customers. This offering is not available for mailers using BRM, Parcel Return Service (PRS), or for customers who pay postage at retail Post Office locations.


I don't own any business, but I do have USPS.com account, can I pay online, print the label and ship it with Regional Rate Box?

It's been a year since I used regional rate boxes. You had to buy them online as they weren't available in store. But once in hand you created a label through the website like any other package. They only make sense when shipping locally. No need to prove you are a business.

I see.

I received a package that arrived with a Regional Rate Box A and I found the postage cheaper than standard Flat Rate Box.

Figured that I probably can reuse the box for my next shipping.

You don't buy the boxes; they are free. Most of time they are cheaper than regular priority boxes.
