Mailman picked up a package with a prepaid Priority Mail label last Wednesday. Tracking still says "Electronic Shipping Info Received"
Am I f***ed ? I know their tracking is laggy, but never seen it go this long.
Thanks, I sent an email but ill give them a call tomorrow. Problem is its one of those international ebay deals where you ship it to Tennessee, and then they ship it international from there. Not sure how much help I will get on their end.
I think this is the last time I use USPS.. What good is tracking + sig confirm + delivery confirm etc etc etc, when it only works randomly...
http://about.usps.com/news/national-releases/2013/pr13_066.htmIf you are f***ed it is because you used USPS AND you expected tracking. USPS DOES NOT provide tracking in the traditional (UPS/Fed Ex) sense. If your intent was to be able to actually know where your package was in transition from you to the receiver, then you chose the wrong shipping method. Using USPS "tracking" I've had packages still show in transit days after receiving them.
To summarize: USPS DOES NOT provide "tracking".

USPS has been better than UPS/fedex this year for me on both the in AND the out.I did hundreds (at least 300+) of packages with USPS, only had trouble with maybe 2-3. Could have been worse.

You must not have used them for awhile.
how do these guys still not have their tracking up to par with UPS or Fedex? It's been YEARS.

The so called tracking number was never intended to be used for tracking. It is called delivery confirmation and thats what it does. Any scans on the way there are bonuses. You have to remember where the term "postal" comes from... you can't expect those people to scan every package on their way through can you?
Sent a priority mail envelope to Texas on Nov. 24th, it got there yesterday.
actually when going across the country priority mail is my preferred carrier. it is so much faster than the comparably priced UPS ground. Things like flat rate boxes are fantastic. Most of the time it really is 2-3 days. Now when you go UNDER priority mail you're asking for trouble. Things like parcel post is say your prayers post.Ding, ding, ding ... we have a winner!
If you want it shipped fast and accurately tracked use Fed Ex or UPS as their bottom line depends upon it.
USPS is great if you do not need it fast or on a specific date but if you do ... case in point: I purchased an item from a vendor specifically because the vendor was close (75 miles) and I knew I would get it FAST, right? Wrong! USPS took 5 days to get the item to me. I am not complaining ... I use the USPS for those cases when I do not need it to be there on a specific date.
