Heh, the ironic thing is that I just reinstalled Unreal Tournament today and played it all the way through on the TNT2 Vanta, with framerates in the 60-90fps range (yes, the eye candy was turned down). Xan sure is a sucker for my mad l33t Lime-Jello Gun...

I think your Vanta will just be too slow I'm afraid ,here's the recommeneded vid specs

They are more than likely talking about the proper 'full' version of the TNT2 too.

32megs of ddr ram on my vid card was not enough... I guess it is time to upgrade

Mine's with an Athlon XP 1800+ at 1686MHz (2050+, 146.7MHz FSB)

It's ok... Nothing special to me... Seems like the old UT with updated graphics.

I ran it at 640 x 480 x 16 on the TNT2 Vanta (8Mb) with most of the settings cranked down, and it's playable... the bots never win, anyway At 1024 x 768 x 32, it's a bit of a slide show, especially outdoors... but the bots still don't win (although I die a bit more)

Apparently I can get another 8Mb for my machine (Dell GX200).

I only ever run at 1024 x 768 x 16 bit colour so would going up to 16Mb actually benefit me ??

I'm running it on my Duron650@850mhz, 256M RAM, Geforce 256 32M vid. I'm playing the game now at 1024X768, most settings on normal, 32bit color, and it's very playable. Don't know the FPS, I'm sure it sucks. Every once in awhile I get a line through the middle during certain sections of the map, but it goes away. I'll probably kick the eye candy down a notch.
