CKG, one good tactic (for me anyway) is to guess. I'd rather waste some ammo on educated guesses, than die with plenty of ammo on hand for the person who fragged me to use. Also, the Translocator is your friend, whether you're trying to reach a shield, get out of a 3-way firefight, or telefrag the bot that's trying to Lightning-Gun you. And if you're lucky enough to find a human standing still with their back to you, it's a sure kill no matter how much health/shields they've got. I think I telefragged the mighty ViRGE at least once (neener, neener)

I was lucky and got CKG and maybe Virge one time but haven't gotten Tom yet. Still can't get the game to stay up long without crashing or freezing in the game . I've tried everything and just tried underclocking the Nvidia card.

Dave, have you installed DirectX 8.1b? If not, might try that.

mech hit me so hard that it crashed my PC and had to do a HARD reboot to fix it! :Q

I felt bad about that too, Engineer... I accidentally pulled up the secret "System Boggler" weapon instead of the Flak Cannon Heck of a weapon, almost as good as the "Packet-Loss Ray."








But seriously, I did feel bad for blowing you up twice in three seconds! I try not to attack people who've just spawned, although they usually chase me down and shoot me in the back until I'm forced to retaliate (or Translocate away). However, sometimes I don't pull my punches in time.

Sorry, didn't get a chance to redo my gaming rig.. I built up a dual p2-450 system for SETI instead.

I guess this is another one for the "You know you're addicted to SETI when.." thread.

I've found one playing tip that seems to allow me to actually do better:

Pop in when Mech, ViRGE, and Tetsuo aren't around!

I actually won a game. :Q Boy was I surprised.

I get fragged a LOT though. I was getting double-teamed, even from the bots. :Q

that was the first time I've ever actually played against more than one or two real TeAmmates, was a good laugh.......

that Gimpy fella kicked my butt in the last game, pitty about the 5hour time difference, I wish I could have stayed a while longer,

Ah, so YOU'RE the BINGO. who kept fragging my butt every time I turned around.

Last night WAS fun. I couldn't believe I won that last game. :Q I was like, NO WAY. :Q I had to hit F1 and see the stats to make sure

I had to bail right after you left too. Hopefully I can pop in later tonight.

Had an...interesting day at work today! Really busy and time went fast from 9 til 2, then went dog slow til 5!

I had some old bloke come in again with his 2 grand daughters, and the eldest one (i guess around 15) was so chatting and eyeing me up! If only she wasn't too young... No doubt she'll be in again next weekend, will see i guess!

There is a flaw in the game, at least on my end, in which I get to the point that I can't move or go in circles, back and forth no matter what I do....and it sorta jumps from one spot to another....multiple times...and I have no control. The only way to fix it is for someone to killl me...and it happens at least 5 times per match

Sorry Confused..that's the reason I quit earlier...I just got fed up with the control!

That happens to me occasionally as well. I get in a mode where I'm in a time loop, run a few feet, then I'm back where I started, run a few feet, I'm back where I started. That I believe was caused by severe lagging, high ping, etc.

I've also had that problem where you can't fire until after you get fragged. I think it is due to communications loss, or lagging/high ping.

I've had my PC freeze up a time or two, and I could only power it down to break the lock.
