UT2003 Rocks !!!!

I got to play UT2003 on my uncle's comp:
athlon xp 1700+
256mb
Radeon 8500 128mb

and the demo on my friend's comp:

athlon tb 1.33ghz
256mb
GF2 Ultra 64mb


it played perfect on them both
but i noticed that 4x antialiasing really hurt performance on the radeon system

I'm gonna get me a new cpu and vid card for my system
an Athlon xp2400+
and a GF4 ti4200 128mb

should be a great system for UT2003 in linux
we'll see

anyone else played UT2003 in Linux??

I got mine up and running finally!!!
I'm still getting random lockups here and there but it's playable.
If any of you are having trouble getting it to run right or getting crashes to the desktop, make sure you have every piece of hardware in your system running on the newest drivers. I thought I had updated all my drivers then remembered I hadn't updated the Via 4 in 1 drivers.....waalaa...it runs now!!

This game is so freak'n sweet!!

I am planning an upgrade specifically because of this game. I already ordered another 256MB ram and plan to get either a 9700 pro or wait to see what Nvidia will have to offer with the pending NV30 series and probably grab a XP2400.

wow sounds like a good plan
i can only imagine what the 9700 can do with this game not to mention the NV30
wonder what effect the amount of system mem has on the performance of the game
256mb vs 512mb vs 1gb
wonder if there is noticeable differences when going from 256 to 512
anyone tryed the game with varying mem amounts in the same system ??
