That. It's Utah, Mormons are decent people, but their view on sex and skin skews very much towards Islam. They're uber-conservative and that dress would be inappropriate for the many schools in the state. Just change it. If you live there you know what you're getting into. Adapt or move.

Meh, if you have a dress code, you have to be able to express it in words, on paper, and have it as concrete as possible. Should someone have spaghetti straps with a plunging neckline in high school? No. (Not in my opinion.) So, simplest rule: "no visible cleavage, shoulders must be covered." 7 words. "No legs showing above where your fingertips reach to. No visible underwear." Concise, not ambiguous. Any ambiguity in dress codes leads to problems.

That's a simple, classy, modest dress appropriate for someone in high school. She looks great. It's a shame that Mormon dress code standards tend to lean more toward those of the Taliban and ISIS.

This kind of stuff kills me. My wife and I worked outside of Cincinnati for a summer and the place had a "no tank top" rule. They didn't disclose it till we got there. We were like wtf? It was either buy her new clothes or leave. We packed up and were ready to pull away when they backed down. Guess it was too close to the season opener to find replacements. I wonder how many people they had to apologize to for having to see her bare shoulders.

The obvious solution is to not allow dances at the school: hasn't anyone explained to the school administrators about the immorality of dancing.
