Utility for disconnecting modem at a desired time

I need a utility that can disconnect me from the internet at a desired time. I like to leave the modem connected at night but would like a program that can disconnect it at 7 Am so I can receive incoming calls I am not awake at that time so I am not able to disconnect it manually. Does anyone know the name a utility that can do this or a website where i can find one?

I'd vote for Reget, its a very good download manager which will disconnect at specific times, it also has a whole host of other features such as automatic re-dial and reconnect, resume downloads, speed throttling etc etc.

I already like Reget and it is great but I am looking for a standalone utility.

Poweroff looks very useful but it turns off the computer, I would like to disconnect the modem without turning off the computer.

Any other suggestion,

Been doing this for over 15 years starting with about 3-4 kbps . . . now using DSL. It is called an external modem, and it is pretty simple to turn off the power switch.

I wondered if some nef would come in and give a stupid answer like that.

Use an external modem and put it on a clock timer.

Does not qualify as a NEF answer.

modem connected all night? hmmmm.... something must be going across the phone line during that time
