Utility to read notebook serial number?

I have an Asus notebook, and the serial number sticker is getting pretty faded and I want to be sure I have it correct. I don't have the original box, and the serial number is not printed on the original receipt. Is there some utility that will display this? I have tried MSInfo, Sisoft Sandra, and (S)ystem (I)nformation (W)izard - to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The serial number isn't imbeded in the software anywere. Do your best to figure it out and write it down somewhere.

Now if by serial number your talking about the product key for Windows there are applications that will retreive the product key for you. Check Downloads.com for what free utilites are availible.

Did you look in the System BIOS screens at boot? Dell keeps their serial numbers there. Maybe ASUS does, too.

Call ASUS and have them check your registration file, or, . . . try Belarc Advisor.

Anyway, I just ran Belarc Advisor on my Lenovo T60, and it does show the system serial number.
