Not to turn this post into an "off-topic" thread, but it's the political message which pretty much makes this movie good (and sums up the U.S. these days).

Try watching Soylent Green or The Omega Man...more good movies which may be 50 years ahead of their time (made in the 1970's). I haven't seen these movies for over 25 years and watched them with my 9-year old son this past weekend. Real eye openers.

Great story, acting, characters, and production value. I caught it in HBO and it was way better than I even expected. There are many parrells between this movie and our current government.

Mr. Creedy = Mr. Cheney
High Chancellor Adam Sutler = President George Bush
