v3 memory chips

what would you like to know? Do you want to know if they are sgram or sdram? Or is it something else? (sgram is only 4 modules, sd comes with 8 modules)

shiet... mine has 8. i heard that limites ur overclocking... but i have heatsinks on my ram chips. u think i could get mine up to say 175 with my 2000?

All I know is that my V3 3000 has the slower memory...and still works great! It don't OC worth crap!

This is an old topic. You might do a search, assuming it's working for a change, for this topic. The #s in question will be on the memory chips.

Paulson, I don't see how a 486 fan (which cools off a measly 66mhz processor) could even help you at 183mhz. That's what people don't understand, you need to get a fan that is for 200mhz plus

I for one have a athlon 700mhz fan on my voodoo. I also have alpha's on my rams'.

A 486 fan will do fine. The 486's ran off 5v, and produced one heck load of heat compared to even a modern 3d graphics chip ( I know, I once touched a heatsink that had no fan, and was nursing my finger for a week...)

I ramsinked my memory. Not sure it does anything - they run cool anyway. (I have SDRAM.)

Got very small heatsinks, put on some thermal grease, and then glued them on. Works great, but probably useless. Can't argue with the US$2 spent though.

2cooltek probably. just put some thermal tape on it or some epoxy and put em on ur ram chips. also the sinks are very light and should hold with just some compound.
