i've searched the internet for information about this, but no answers.
when using a v92 modem, can i use any phone in my house (not the one plugged into the computer) to make an outgoing call (without interacting with the computer) while i'm online? and will the modem know to put the internet connection on hold automatically? OR do I have to do everything with the phone that is hooked up directly to the modem?
I am asking this because there are other people in the house, and sometimes they need to make phone calls from other rooms. I would like for them to be able to make their phone calls without having to ask me to hang up or put the modem 'on hold'....
