Had to scrub Hawaii and a camping trip to Moab due to work changes this spring.
We have a 4 day camping trip on the 4th of July. We will camp at the beach property whenever we can this summer.
I think we may go to the UK for 2~3 weeks this fall.

3 weeks in the US New York + California, probably ~$5K. Then some relaxing with friends and family the rest of my vacation.

aaaah the bliss of 5 weeks paid vacation.

Went just last weekend on a short road trip to Michigan, My fiance's best friends family owns some land with some cottages. Total cost for us was about $200 or so for gas and food and such.

In a month we are going on another short road trip to my grandmothers house in Wisconsin (about 250 miles 1 way). It will cost less since my grandmother will supply more than enough food, and we will take my car instead of borrowing fiance's mom's Explorer. (my forester has crappy back seats, but just the 2 of us on the road so we get 25mpg rather than 15-20mpg)

In December, we are going on a 7 day cruise from Baltimore to Orlando and then the Bahamas. It's around a 750 mile drive from home, so it shouldn't be too bad to drive all at once. We plan to spend a day in DC and a day in Baltimore. The cruise was about $1000 or so for the 2 of us, gas will be around $250-300 if it stays under $4.50 per gallon. We have about $150 of "credit" on the boat towards drinks and whatever. We will probably buy the maximum amount legal of duty free cigars or cigarettes and booze to bring home. Total budget for this trip is about $2000 given 1 night of hotel in Baltimore area, 1 night of hotel in DC area, cruise, excursions, fuel, food, and discretionary spending. In theory, we should be able to come in about 300 or 400 under budget, but, the money is there if we need it.

If you've never cruised before you might want to google tipping recommendations for cruises. IIRC, you tip your cabin person, the maitre d, your waiter, and the head waiter and all in cash.

This will be cruise #6 for me (though 3 of them were with family before I was 18, and 1 of the others was funded by my grandmother as it was a very big family vacation.)

I have onboard credit from Carnival's "future cruise credit program" which they stopped offering a few months after my last cruise.

Anyhow, This will be cruise #2 for the fiance, she liked the first one I took her on (5 day out of New Orleans to Cozumel and Progresso.) I wanted to try the port of Baltimore this year since it will save us about 400 miles on the road, and things like parking and hotels are cheaper, and we can check out DC for a day.

Next year we will have our honeymoon, not sure where I will take her then ... but it should be fun. Maybe I'll convince her that airplanes are safe by then, otherwise it will be a long drive ....

For our honeymoon, we did a 7 day RC cruise from San Juan, PR. It was great. We went a couple of days early to chill in San Juan beforehand. Ports of call were Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Good times.

Unfortunately, you can't drive to San Juan so good luck with the airplane safety convincing

Well, her very best friend in the whole world is from Puerto Rico originally, so, if there is 1 place I will convince her to fly, it is San Juan

Also, I am considering getting us rail passes and taking amtrak from chicago to north dakota, glacier park, seattle, portland, back to another glacier park stop, and finally back to chicago ... or considering taking from chicago to glacier park, to seattle, to portland, to san francisco, to denver, to chicago ... (over a period of 2 weeks) ... 1st option is just under 100 hours on the train, 2nd option is around 120 hours on the train, but, might be worth it to see the sites.

I wish I could plan a vacation months in advance. Due to my business and work schedule I can't. All my trips and vacations are last minute. I need a vacation soon. I haven't had a day off in over a month. And work backlog just keeps growing. Money is great but so is rest. I would pay to have a day off right now.

Thinking about taking a cruise to the Western Caribbean in March with the GF. Probably around $2000 when it's all said and done.

As usual the Sho'nuff clan will be spending most weekends this summer at our camp in Maine, which has lake access. ~$2600 for the seasonal site + ~$1500 miscellaneous expenses.

Apart from that, the wife and I are going to New York City for a four day weekend. I expect that weekend to cost ~$1000-$1500 between travel costs ($300), hotel (3X$250, food and shows/other touristy crap.

there really needs to be a child rate for airlines, because they're only taking up 80% of the seat. When you're paying $3200 in airfare alone for a family to fly to Hawaii, it hurts. Something like flying to Florida for Disney for 4 of us, park tickets, hotel, food, etc. was $4300 for 8 days recently.
