really. I work like 60 hours a week. I can't take the time to build achievements. I've been playing fps since wolf 3d. One of the things I like about fps is I can generally walk into any of them learn the methods rules and maps in 2 weeks and pwn because its based on my personal skill. Enjoy the game, I'll play css with my MAYBE 5 hours a week.

This method of releasing updates gets people to try out new classes. There are a lot more medics overall than there used to be.

I'm trying TF2 this weekend and I wanted to play as a spy... yeah... not working out so well.

Engineer is great though. =D

I played a little bit again today. I haven't played since the week of release and I think it's still fun. Lots more pyros for sure but I've always played pyro from the beginning so I don't mind.

Then don't play pyro. Or keep playing pyro but ignore the acheivements because honestly, not having extra weapons and +50 health won't break an already good pyro player.

What are you complaining about here? I guess you're too busy to realize that the achievements/new weapons don't really change the overall balance of the game. I mean, just look at them. New medic gun: get +3 health, but never a crit. New pyro flare gun: long distance burning, but it's slow and useless for up close combat. You don't need to get a single achievement to continue playing the game exactly as you did before, and that's a great thing. The skill levels don't arbitrarily change because you get the achievements. It's not like you can keep leveling up to get stronger characters with the ultimate guns that have no weaknesses.

Yep, actually kind of fun. A good heavy and medic combo will mow them down too

sniper is the best class, if you can play it.

i was playing sniper the other day on goldrush, because my team really needed the long range support. was some good fun

meh, my sniping aim sucks. Sometimes I'll fart out a three-headshot string of brilliance, then die a horrible painful death. I prefer medic (laugh all you want) or soldier. Scout if I feel adventurous. Maybe engineer on gold rush for the teleporters.

I agree, I think it is dying down a bit already in just days believe it or not. Not to mention, I'm really not even that good but I drool as a soldier watching numerous Pyros come at me - even on an open map. Just aim for their feet.

Well, the reason it's dying down is because the pyro achievements are really easy to get. I only went to an achievement box server for maybe three achievements and I have all but maybe 7 of them. I already have the useless ax. Everything else is nice to use though. I wonder how fun it will be when the engineer achievements come out. THOSE are gonna be the WORST.

Just finished a game as Engineer. 28 kills from one SG. Not one demoman or spy tried to take it down the entire round. Pyros just kept running into its line of sight and dying. Boy, what fun.
