God damn! Would it have killed Tom Leonard to put on a shirt without massive pit sweat stains on it for a promo photo? I mean, I know he's probably an ultra nerd...but we aren't asking for an italian suit here, just a clean t-shirt.

You won't need quad core, it takes advantage of dual core as well.

Well its a great idea, and about time some big companies started thinking multi cpu threaded and even 64 bit code maybe, halflife with quad core, l see awsome physic's comming, even if not the agiea licienced physic's, valve will do alright with there own , its going to a real top end bottom end games market soon, with physic's comming into play and all the extra objects moving at different speeds, SLI video cards are going to come of age, you can just imagine some of the ping times from people with systems not quite up to speck, scarrrrry, but , for those whom have spent the cash, got the right stuff, goosepimples !

Go valve l say, let the gamers catch up with hardware for once !
Rather than us waiting for better games or worse friggin patches to fix games !

Does anyone know if frontlines fuel of war has much physic's ?

Yes, that piece is a downright marketing stuff. (Indeed AT doesn't even attempt to hide) I might bring this issue sometime in near future, but AT's quad-core push has gone over the limit by this 'review', I think. Although I understand that reviewers and the industry would like to help each other, reviewers are still supposed to be on the consumers' side. They are by no means sheperds nor advertisers. I mean, with Gabe Newelle's picture and Valve's PowerPoint as main source of article, I can't think of this as anything other than.. well..

Let me put it this way. Would AT dare to review 8800 GTX with Jen Hsen Hwang's picture and NV's slides? I highly doubt it. This piece along with Anand's dismal Kentsfield review, AT made it clear that they'd push quad-core as much as they can. Could it be a byprodut of eliticism? I somehow doubt it considering the quality of articles in question.

Yeah right. I've used win32 for threading before. It ain't *that* tough.
I somehow doubt your program's complexity rivals that of the Source engine.

Still mostly marketing BS. hybrid threading is a good idea though, but it would be very tough to implement into the engine.
Perhaps you should tell Valve that given they've already done it.

Hybrid threading is actually very easy to do, considering it's such a broad and vague term. It's like describing a woman and saying she has "personality". Gee, thanks buddy.
