Those people were wrong, then. The original tour went great, pretty much sold out every show. This is an extension of the 2007 tour that everyone said wouldn't last.

They should have stopped after the first tour was done.

every comeback tour they do ends in flames. eddie needed to have another kid to sing, then he could be king of the band, and everything would be well.

What do you mean by "every comeback tour"? Only "comeback" or "reunion" tour they've ever done was with Sammy in 2004. So I guess technically, you're right since that one did end badly, but they have never NOT finished a tour.

And this one is NOT in flames...they are getting along fine. Eddie has a problem, and everyone knows what it is. And it's not Dave, it's the bottle.

Fvck...I have tickets to the show tonight in Dallas and just found this out...initially it was rescheduled for April 24th...this sucks...

edit: both Dallas Rock stations are both stating that the show has been rescheduled for April 24th...

They are postponing the dates through the March 11 date? Wonderful! :roll: My tickets are for the March 7th date. I doubt my friend is going to fly back out to North Carolina in April or May or whenever they bother to reschedule, if they actually do.

Oh come on! Why is there always drama with these VH tours?!? Come on Eddie, let bygones be bygones and realize that you're one of the greatest, more influential rock bands ever assembled and that a younger generation would love to see you in action live without having to deal with fights, postponements and cancellations.

You may have more talent then anyone you ever played with, but realize that as a band you are no more special when DLR was, Hagar was, Micheal Anthony was, your brother, your fucking kid, or anyone else. You were thrown a gigantic bone by landing Hagar after David Lee left and should feel blessed that you were still able to generate amazing songs without him.

You may think you're Van Halen, and you may be the greatest guitarist ever to hold a pick, but you can't just impose your will in order to have things your way in times like this. Maybe back in the 80's you could get away with it for a while, but not now with the condition the band as a whole is in.

Get it together and just play!

Monday night when the Cincy show was postponed the news said that he was being taken to the hospital for medical treatment... so either he really fell off the wagon or he had to seek immediate medical attention.

Rumor has it Eddie was undergoing treatment for cancer again.. Hopefully that's not the case.
