It rejects it on the grounds that it is just another form of creationsim that rejects evolution (I.e. not science, therefore not meant for the classroom).

I guess reading isn't for everyone.

Many (most?) people already believe that aliens are with them--they just dress them up in halos and bird's wings, fashion them as fish, and stick them on their cars for various causes. Far-fetched does not mean it can't be popularly accepted. It just needs to be framed right to be marketted to the people.

Haha... Does non sequitor mean anything to you?

The Vatican also rejects any other Christian denomination as being a legitimate representation of God on earth, does that make Protestantism non-religious?

Is it possible that God used evolution to do it? yes.

Exactly. I'm not saying I agree with your views on God, but I for one have never understood why it has to be God vs science, with regards to evolution or anything else.

It depends on the question.

1) Life begins at conception? Science would say a different kind of life form (sperm + egg = fertilized egg) is the outcome of conception. This new life form (primordial homo sapiens sapiens) develops in utero for 36wks+ followed by an ex utero life of varying quality and quantity. Science doesn't bother asking the followups . . .

2) When does the soul arrive? What is the soul? Where does it come from? These are spiritual/religious questions that have no true scientific corollary. We know where personality comes from . . . but that's not what people mean when they ask these questions.

3) How long did it take the Earth (and the species upon it) to reach their current state? Science has multiple complementary theories. Curiously, many native cultures also have multiple complementary theories that typically utilize deities. Fundamentalist Christians have one. Technically, practicing Jews and Muslims have one as well.

4) What happened to the dinosaurs? Again science has multiple theories but most importantly . . . we don't bother with the more basic question of whether dinosaurs ever existed. Religions take various tacts: a) early God work during the Creation week, b) coexisted with humans during the Creation week, and of course . . . c) What dinosaurs?

5) How did the Grand Canyon form? Science - water (Colorado river) + a long, long time. Retarded Christians - the Great Flood.

6) Where's Noah's Ark? Science - who's Noah? Religion - Mt Ararat (Mt Judi for the Muslims).

7) Explain the platypus. Science - just another iteration of evolution and natural selection. Religion - God on 'shrooms.

God on 'shrooms.

I thought Moses made the mistake of saying to God, 'If it walks like a duck.......".
