I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but it seems like this question could go here.
I have a bunch of VCR tapes that my grandfather converted from old film. I'd like to carry on the tradition and convert these to DVD.
I've never really done any video stuff on my computer. I have this 8800 GTS video card. I'm using Vista, which has its own DVD burning software (I don't know how good it is). I have a copy of Nero, but that isn't compatible with Vista last time I checked. The VCR only has RCA connections.
What do I need to buy to be able to do this? Since I probably won't ever do this again after I go through these tapes on hand, I'd like to keep it reasonably inexpensive.
