Vdimm problem on Epox 8RDA+

I am having a memory voltage problem on my Epox 8RDA+. I am able to change the CPU voltage quite easily. However, I have changed the Vdimm to 2.90V, and USDM reports my Vdimm voltage only as high as 2.52V (2.5V is default) and as low as 2.38V.

Does this sound like a motherboard problem or a power supply problem?

Thanks very much for your help.

I recommend using a voltmeter to check the actual VDIMM, rather than believing software. Refer to Tables 3 and 4, and Figure 2 below them, in this PDF at Micron to determine which pins to test.

If the voltage really is low, it could also be you're straining your power supply... what are you using for a PSU, is it a quality brand?

The PSU is an Enermax (I believe). I hadn't noticed a Vdimm problem until today. I know I was getting 2.9V as recently as a few days ago.

My PSU is actually an Enhance ENP-0735. . .not the best PSU, but not the worst either.

I'm going to borrow a voltmeter over the weekend. Assuming that the BIOS is reporting the voltage correctly, is it more likely that the problem is with the PSU or with the motherboard?
I'm not exactly demanding a whole lot of my PSU, as I only have one IDE HDD, one CD-RW, one DVD-R, a video card, two case fans, and one HSF.

Thanks very much for the expertise!

Thanks for the replies. Is this sort of problem usually related to the power supply being flaky, or is the motherboard not regulating the voltage properly? For those of you with experience with this sort of thing, is it more likely one or the other?

Well, I changed power supplies to a new Antec 400W, and the BIOS is still reporting only 2.5V (sometimes as low as 2.38V). I haven't used a voltmeter to check the actual voltage, but my suspicion is that there is a problem with the motherboard.
The worst drawback is that Epox will not replace the board under their RMA. The response I got was that they want to repair the board, meaning I would be without a motherboard for probably a couple of weeks--not acceptable at all. Despite it being a great motherboard design, this makes Epox drop way down in my opinion.
