2×8-pin power, up to 375 W, for 13 TFLOPS: not sure whether over-specced like after-market products, or actual power requirements.
the card he held in his hand was 1x8 and 1x6 Pin.

Are you sure?
The images are all 2x8pin
They have a new page up too:

Well, given that all the press and web images are 2x8-pin, wouldn't that point towards the demo card being a pre-production "show card" rather than a fully finished one?100% sure. i had to rewind because i thought i was seeing not right. he clearly held a card with 8 + 6 config.

I made this after feeling Deja Vu with the "Frontier Edition" naming
Btw this is Gp102 running Sniper Elite 4 opening scene, same scene Vega was running: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wFdGFMPp3Y&feature=youtu.be&t=43s
Vega is clearly behind Gp102, at least in this game, which is ironically an AMD title.

So Raja doesnt want to state Vega's actual performance. I'm gonna take a guess and say big Vega is 10% slower than GP102 and costs $600.
Edit: If this is the case then I'm vastly disappointed. Wonder how they will react if review shows Vega is slower than GP102 and how misleading the bs "Poor Volta" was.

Yep!
Interesting I missed that as the image on the slide and website all have 2x8.
Wow, dude, chill out.
I don't have an ounce of contempt for the general public here (or on any other forum/site I frequent - if I did, I wouldn't stay), but I've been here long enough to know that there are quite a few screwballs around, and of many different kinds. That's just humanity for you. I do have some odd ideas of my own, when compared to the general public here, and don't consider that a problem at all. It's what makes for interesting discussion. Still, I (and many/most others here, from my experience) spend a bit of our time trying to guide others a bit. That's what forums are for, after all.
Also, contempt for AMD? What on earth are you on about? Are you seriously denying that AMD has (and has had) that kind of reputation? If so, how do you explain Nvidia's history of dominating marketshare even in times when they have had clearly inferior products? I mean, I could have added "(undeserved)" into that sentence, but for some reason I expect the people reading my posts to be able to tell the difference between commenting on a phenomenon that exists in society and expressing the same as an opinion. A clue: I was doing the first, not the latter. Now please shut up, and leave your straw men lying where they are. Or just work on your reading comprehension.
Yeaa. We are perhaps forced to buy it even if it isnt such good value because nvidia tries to lock us out with their stupid expensive gsynch and a 1080ti that isnt really the most futureproof dx12 gpu to say the least. What a mess. Volta might bring some more modern capability into the nv portfolio and do it with a perf and efficiency that outweighs the gsynch tax and horrendeous monitor prison.I'd call that a big win for everyone. A card that splits the difference between 1080 and 1080Ti for a price that splits the difference as well? And you can get a cheaper Freesync monitor to save another couple hundred?
You can buy a good gaming CPU for $300 saved on a Ti/GSync, that's worth doing.
Might make their "Poor Volta" untrue, but good news for consumers. I care more about what I can buy for my money than the marketing speak.
You misunderstood him. It will have a benefit regardless, but the real point is that games can be free to use larger data sets now.
