I know it sounds stupid, but I'm serious. That guy said he delivers some of it to the poor, but do they all? There's something sad about people from the suburbs eating out of dumpsters. Something more sad than the poor doing it.

Of course the two towns mentioned in the article are the one I grew up in and the one I live in now...

Notice how they're all in their early twenties. Given a few years or more they'll probably grow out of their over-exuberant ideologies. Just like the peace-niks from the sixties who are now clean-cut and working in offices.

yea, companies sometimes chuck out reasonably good stuff probably about the same as those geeks that dumpster dive for old parts. salon.com had a thing on it like last year.

Still, to them, it's kosher to eat non-vegan food (a few will even eat meat) if it's dumpstered, left on somebody's plate or given away by a restaurant.

They can eat meat that way..I'd probably rather be freegan than vegan though. Probably 50% of my food is meat or something that a vegan would not eat.
