having been married @ Aria in winter and making the walk to Cosmo, 5 vs 15 minutes in Vegas winter is a huge difference.

Eat at Earl of Sandwich at PHO
Burgr at PHO is good.
Secret Pizza at Cosmo is good.
Pinball HOF
Machine Gun
5 Below

I suggest LOVE, that show kicked ass..

I goto Vegas 5 times a year and I usually gamble, while shows are low on the totem pole for me.
I am not a huge foodie, but there are great places to eat at a bargain price IMO.
Trevi is good as well, which is in the Forum Shops

You can PM me if you want, for more info!!

I actually like the Vegas winters. Relative to what we often get in TN I can usually bust out the shorts and t-shirt.

Get a host, if you want the resort fees waived...

I just stayed at Cosmo last month and paid $0. You can goto the host on duty as well, to see if they will waive the fees. Make sure to use your players card no matter what.

I am going next month for a bachelor party 18-22 of Feb, I am curious to see how the weather will be.
In December it was actually decent to my liking (east coaster as well) with it being 50-60 during the day, I can live with that!!

Re: secret pizza @ Cosmo

If you go there between 1:30am and 2:30am its fucking HILARIOUS. The line for pizza is an hour long but you're guaranteed to find at least 5 bride-to-be's (and their bridesmaids) on their bachelorette party completely fucking hammered passed out all around the club. Lots of skin, lots of shame, lots of LOL

Man I love Vegas - I'm overdue for a trip.

Wouldn't you say this is very dependent on how much your spend at the tables? Works for you but definitely wouldn't work for me

Yup.

$5 = earl of sandwich
$500 = guy savoy, e, or Mansion. But hey if you book at the mansion you get a free limo pickup.

My personal favorite bang for the buck $$$$ meal is Picasso @ Bellagio. Great venue (you're dining under real Picassos in a faux wine cellar with the Bellagio fountains in front of you...), good food, reasonable pricing for the quality (meaning <$200pp for food).

The way i see it honestly is I play everything honestly... I am not a high roller, I have an amount I am willing to lose.

All they can say is no.... the Resort fees do include wifi and the gym. Which I think is complete garbage that they charge those fees now, but you get the whole point.

I dont know what you play LOL, but every bit helps even if they will cut it in half at the end of your trip.

Spot on my friend...

Alot of people hate it, but I love Serendipity 5 at Ceasars for breakfast. I think its reasonable and not overkill.

I am not a fan of the buffets in Vegas, I always tell people try it once.

Have you been to Giada yet ? Ive heard its hit and miss.

The Mansion is STUPID nice.. but $$$$$

I've heard very good things about Giada but have not been. What the hell do they serve at Serendipity for breakfast??? I've been staying at the city center complex a lot lately and I love that French cafe inside Aria - grossly unhealthy though as each item must contain at least a pound of butter.

I did both the Cosmo and Bellagio dinner buffets last year and they are valuable if you are traveling in a group, i.e. It's easy to satisfy a wide variety of tastes. But if it's just me and the wife I could find way better places for $50/pp

I just went late last year for the first time. I don't know Vdara personally but I would say the location is good - it's a stones throw from the Aria which is where I'd want to stay if I went back. I wouldn't agree that it's "far" unless you are really, really anti-walking.

1. I would say lodging and shopping are the most expensive. I never felt like any of the shows or restaurants were too obscenely priced - even quite reasonable sometimes because they were so damned good. Didn't get to try any of the, you know, elite 5star places though.

2. I saw Zumanity at New York New York. It's basically a Cirque show with crude adult humor/crowd interaction and some nudity. For my group of friends it was pretty good and they still had some impressive stunts. I would have preferred "O" though if I were to see more Cirque. Otherwise it really depends if any of the musical or magical acts appeal to you. That's the bulk of them at least.

3. I initially wanted to try Mon Ami Gabi but it was always crowded as hell. However literally across the street from it is Hexx which at least serves some awesome breakfast and was never very full. I got some great omelettes and got to try their ridiculous chocolate pancakes, banana nut french toast, and cinnaroll waffle. Dunno how lunch or dinner is there.

Also Aria Cafe (omg red velvet pancakes) and the Tropicana's Beach Cafe were both good to us if you happen to be near one and just want some place to sit down and grab a bite. Not really worth going out of your way for them though.

Also inside of Aria (and I think Bellagio has one too) is Jean Phillipe Patisserie which is an awesome dessert shop. Pretty much everything we tried there looked and tasted exceptional. Worth a look at the very least imo.

4. I'd say so. Two things did the most damage to my group - shopping and gambling. The designer shoppes and malls are pretty cool to walk through but are insanely expensive, be warned lol.

One thing you may not know coming in blind but which is pretty useful - basically every single hotel has a regular queue of taxis waiting 24/7. There's no need to hail one or anything like that so long as you're near a hotel. It's either at the main entrance or they may have a dedicated ramp for it but they're basically open to anyone, just stand in line (if there is one) and tell the attendant where you're headed. None of us drove anywhere the entire time, all walking and taxis - which honestly aren't that expensive as long as you aren't taking them to go every single block imo.

Saints & Sinners French Toast Log.. that thing is BANGING my lord...

Right now its only 5 guys going, which is going to be a big issue LOL.... odd man out

Designer shoppes are expensive everywhere. Difference is, there's much less snootiness than in most other places. Therefore, I'm much more likely to spend money at Ferragamo

EDIT: Come to think of it, I also bought my wallet at Dunhill during our last Vegas trip.

Vegas cheap is just another way of enjoying Vegas, and a hobby of many of the locals. Plenty of old people get in "clubs" where spending less than $100 gambling can get most of everything else comped.

OTOH Vegas is designed to take all the money you think you are rich enough to spend.

enjoying vegas to me is going to expensive restaurants, going to clubs and pool parties, excursions like helicopter tours or other 1 time things. none of that can be done on the cheap.

You been to hash house? If so, I presume you like Serendipity for breakfast more than hash house?

NS1, have you been to Peppermill for breakfast? We like to do Hash House and Peppermill at least once. I've heard Serendipity is good.

That's actually the first time I've ever heard of it Peppermill

Im usually @ Bouchon or Jean Georges for breakfast. I'm not really a fan of Hash House TBH. It's uh....the definition of American. LOL (don't get me wrong I can totally see the appeal)
