Um... so where exactly are you seeing room rates for those hotels in the price range I listed?

My research 4 weeks ago from when I went.
As long as you're not going for a convention week, it's impossible NOT to find a room at this rate. If you want I have emails for Venetian + THE Hotel flooding my invoice, 120/night.
If you go on priceline you are pretty much guaranteed at a 5* resort for 150-200/night.
Haven't you heard? America's on sale.

How close to your actual stay did you book? Perhaps it is best to wait until the last minute?

MGM Grand signature!!! It's not right on the strip, but within walking distance.
Gorgeous place to stay - we loved it.

Ol' Joe Smith can eat a dick!
Just because I'm from Utah doesn't mean I'm a member of the predominant religion. I'm far from it, honestly...

just got back from CES and loved the Planet Hollywood, though I'd say it's geared more towards the young single crowd than couples. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the bathroom was half the size of the room. Great casino and every shop you ever heard of in the mall. On weekends the casino has go-go dancers up on platforms, helps to soften the blow as you lose your shirt at the tables.
Stayed at Treasure Island last time, never again.
Stayed at Mandalay Bay few years ago and it was great, but location is not ideal.
Will strongly consider staying at PH again, depending on who I go with next time.

Why would anyone go to Vegas with a SO??? That's called taking sand to the beach.

Why would anyone even entertain the pissant opinions of a twenty-something?

My wife and I are looking to go on a weekend getaway to Vegas sometime in February. I've been to Vegas, but I've never stayed at any of the hotels on the strip. Which hotel has the nicest rooms in the $150-200/night range?

Priceline yourself a 5 star hotel on the east side of the strip... you won't be disappointed when you end up at the Venitian.
