well the 3200 gets to 315x8. Seems that both of my CPUS go unstable right around the 2500 mark.

Don;t buy 3000+ if is $146 now, go for 3200+ which is a great deal and you will pass 2700 easily with right Motherboard and Memory.

Just thought I would chime in on my results. I am fairly happy, I have barely done any tweaking and I am running stable (OCCT, Prime95, memtest86) at 2547.1 MHz as we speak. Here's what I got:

0529APEW
DFI LanParty Ultra-D
OCZ Platinum Rev 2

And I am running 283x9 @ 1.456 V (from CPU-Z). I can post a pic of CPU-Z later.

Well these definitely don't overclock like some of the older Venices, but so far I'm at 2500 w/ 1.475 V

Are you using the latest bios? I think its 1A. It helped me reach a higher overclock.

Try 255x10 and see if it passes OCCT, try it at anything below 1.6v.

I'm using the 1B bios. I'm getting some odd issues with it, so I'll probably flash back to 1.A

Failed after an hour of prime at 10 x 250 @ 1.5V no matter what my mem settings are. I really don't want to have to go up much past 1.5V, so I'm going to back it down to 2450 and see if I can get it stable.

well, the results are not spectacular...
at stock voltage, the highest it will go is 10 x 235 @ 1.35v
after that, every additional 50Mhz requires 0.05v (though I'm still bumping up incrementally)
the highest i've managed to push it so far is 10 x 250 @ 1.5v
i don't expect to go much higher than that, though, as the temps under load are already in the high 40s.

Your cooling must be really bad. I had it at 255x10 @1.62v yesterday and the highest it went was 38*. Another e6 that disappoints.

OK, I've pushed it a tad further to 10 x 255 @ 1.55v. Temps aren't too bad (34/45). I'm running Prime95 now to make sure it's stable (40 min.s so far). I'll be happy with a 550 Mhz overclock if it holds up!

And also the e6 runs maybe-3-5 cooler at a given temp than the e3s.

Mine is running stable at 2.7ghz E6 3000+ with Artic Silver5 + XP-90C + Ultra Glossy Case with 5 fans + Ultra 500Watts power supply i love this powersupply quite as wisper.

It runs cool idle at 32C and load at 36C, i am loving it

Yeah, week 17 chips are the best for OC in general.
Anyway, since the DFI board is supposed to be the dog's bollocks, I ordered one and I'll see if any of the 4 chips I have do better than the EPOX.

Yeah it runs fine, absolutely fine. I played alot of different games like Brian Lara cricket 2005, Need for Speed Underground 2 over the weekend and some benchmarks of 3DMARK05, Aquamark3, SisSoftSandra 05

I got my week 0531 LLBWE and it does 2550mhz on 1.55v, idle is 35 load is 44c with xp-90 and a slow quit 92mm fan. Not great but not too bad!!!
