Did you try updating your BIOS?

Hey guys I've noticed that most of the people with these very high overclocks all have DFI boards. I am just wondering if I should waste my time ordering one of these because I have an MSI K8N Neo2 Plat and it obviously, doesn't have as high of voltages for the RAM. So I just wanna make sure I would still be able to hit 2.7Ghz with the 2.85v limit I have for my memory. Any ideas?

Why do you think the MSI will be the best choice to hit 3Ghz... Obviously DFI boards have the most options for overclocking, and have the highest voltages.

Just look at the Futuremark ORB for the highest scores (i.e highest overclocks) and ~90% are DFI boards.

I had a video card problem too. Now I am flashing the board to the latest bios, and trying again.

No one is posting the price on these. I just bought a Venice 3000+ OEM(I had a couple HSFs already) at eWise for $115. I bought for the price but would have waited if
1. I knew an E6 was pending release
2. I knew it would be competetively priced to the "DH-E3" I received.

Motherboard is GA-K8NS Ultra

edit - im fairly sure the motherboard cant go any higher, ill be happy with 2.4ghz

Because you Ultra D does not support SLI, and here is a comparison in which MSI SLI & DFI SLI tie in the comparison.
