Yup i bought it from EWIZ when it was for $118 it has been almost a month i think or less might be, but any ways. If you really wanna overclock this baby you need a better motherboard like
1. MSI Neo4 Platinum or SLI
2. DFI Land Party Ultra D or SLi

You cannot get the full potential of this baby until you have one of these motherboards, because you need a motherboard which can reach 300FSB, and both of these motherboards can easily reach that FSB.
If you buy any cheap Motherboard with this CPU it will hold you back.

Dave,
IMO, the chips that are sold on FleaBay are generally already "tested".
Most may not want you to know the results as they are trading the chips, looking for the largest O.C. increase. The ones listed probably did not make the cut.

hummm what I can see is that the E6 are not as good overclockers as the E3 were... and also, for just a 5 USD difference I think the 3200+ is now a much better offer than the 3000+, but I dont know, perhaps the 3200+ will not even reach 2700mhz! what do you think?

Like I said, my 3200 can't even do 250x10 stable while my 3000 can do 282x9 all week. I'd like to think it's maybe cause I'm an inexperienced OC'er but let's be serious, you don't really need experience to OC well. Changing a few settings here and there and testing them is child's play. I have a EPOX 9npa ultra so someone saying I need a better board just makes me laugh.

Well if i had this option i would definately jumped on 3200+, why do you think it would not reach 2700, you can lower the multiplier to 9 and start overclocking.

Well, he said he never OC'd any of his chips, this is an older guy just so you know. Oh, well, I guess I'll wait to try them when they come and I'll either laugh in your face if they OC well or I'll just sell them if they don't OC as well or better than my current 3000.

thats the highest i've seen on a e6 in this forum. you got lucky on that one. mine needed 1.65-1.70v to get it that high.

does your chip need at least 1.65v to boot, or prime95 stable?

what does "pretty much a lock on" means?? I am from Brazil, portuguese speaking well, I did some research in its full TAG and apparently it's not a good one, week 17 is an superb week, but the rest of the code (GPIW) is crap, well, the guy who is selling it did achive 2500mhz with 1.40 volts, I dont know if that's superb or if it will just stop there even if you give it 1.65 volts! what do you experienced guys say, if it reaches 2500 with 1.40 does it mean that it will reach 2700/2800 with a little more voltage?

My 3000 is a 0530 CPFW from E-Wiz. I'm at 298x9= 2682mhz. I'm only using 1.5v and haven't tried higher. I'm using a refurb MSI Neo 2 Platinum from Newegg with Kingston Hyper X PC3500 and a Thermaltake Venus 12.
Edit: I must also say that I was having sh!t for luck at overclocking till I flashed to the latest bios.
