Please continue to use this thread to discuss and troubleshoot your Venice OCs if you wish to do so. Here's the final results of some Venice 3500+ OCs attempted by members here:

CBBLE 0512DPAW - 2560 MHz on 1.57V, Owner: Painman, Aircooled
LBBLE 0515FPAW - 2805 MHz on 1.67V, Owner: Koyanisquatsi, Aircooled
LBBLE 0513FPAW - 2750 MHz on 1.61V, Owner: NINaudio, Watercooled

Although I dont think you mention it but I suggest memory voltages and brand just to see what kind of o/c are possible using different memory sticks.

this is an excellent idea, and gets my endorsement I'll put a link to this in my thread, so that everything is more cross-linked, etc.

Great idea, we needed a thread like this...also make sure you include your motherboard brand and settings used to achieve the o/c

Painman you might want to add this into your post. So people when replying to your thread could just CopyClip this and use it as a Post template.

It might make it little easier to collect the data afterwords.
Just an idea....

My 3500 Venice will be here tomorrow!!! wOOt!!! It should rock with my Prometeia Mach II. People are hitting 3.2 with Phasechange. I have not been so excited for a chip in quite some time. Feel like a damn child at xmas.

Thanks for the fedback guys. Yeah, no one here has a Venice yet AFAIK, but I felt it's better to get the corral set up before the herd of cattle arrives

L3p3r, good idea... I'll link to the price guide from here too.

ty1er, Maverick, globalcitizen: Yup, the more info the better, what I'll do is modify ty1er's template and provide it for folks, though the only info I'm going to compile in the top post will still be CPU specific - much more manageable and focused that way, I'll indicate which chip belongs to who, so people can scroll down to that person's post to get more detail.

UzairH - Thanks maybe we'll get one if this turns out to be popular.

WA261 - Best of luck with the Mach II, I think what I'll do is make an air section of the database and an "other" section so that everyone can report in.

Time to work on the OP a bit

Someone please tell us if venice will run at 1T or 2T with 4 sticks of ram.

Everything I've read says 2T.

*EDIT* More voltage doesn't help... I think temps may be an issue since I can get to ~2.6 on default voltage, and no higher even with 1.55 volts.

When you hit a wall like that it may be something like that holding you back......

I have to agree I am a bit disappointed but have been with the A64's for the last 10+ weeks it appears.....

Retail HSF has always been said to top around 2.6ghz with winnies and we know based on reviews the venice's are running a tad hotter....Th retail cooler I was runing was 8c hotter at 2.6ghz then my current Venus HSF and I never tried 1.57v with it in extended testing...It would have definitely been in the 60's under load....

Are you running it out on the desktop??? Or in closed case...Try the big fan and see if you can see if it is heat related stability....Jacking the vcore up is counter product if it is the issue...

Welp, here we go:

-=General Info=-
CPU Model Number: ADA3500DAA4BP
CPU Code: CBBLE 0512DPAW

-=System Info=-
Motherboard: DFI NF4 Ultra-D
BIOS Revision: 310
Memory: 2x512 Ballistix PC4000
PSU: Enermax 550W
Cooling Type, Brand, Model: Air, XP-90 w/Panaflo L1BX

-=Default Vcore=-
Max OC w/ 1M Super PI results: 2475 MHz - 00m 36s
HTT and Multiplier Used: 225 * 11

-=Stable OC Info=-
Max Stable OC: 2560 mhz
Prime95 SFFTs: 15:01 H:M
Prime95 LFFTs: N/A
HTT and Multiplier Used: 256 * 10
Actual VCore: 1.57V
CPU Temp in BIOS (Idle): 38C
CPU Temp in OS (Idle):32C
CPU Temp Under Load: 47C
+12V Reading (Idle): 12.21V
+12V Reading (Load):12.17V

Only 2475 from stock vcore with enough stability to do a PI run... not impressive. I guess we'll see if anything decent will happen with some voltage.

Mini-Update: This proc really seems no better than a "decent" Winchester so far. Chose a target of 2750 to try and stabilize... ain't gonna happen. Failing 1M PI at 1.62 actual VCore. I forecast a max OC out of this chip on sane VCore in the 2.6 range...

Mini-Update 2: Attempting to Prime 260 * 10 (2.6 GHz) on 1.57-1.58 actual VCore. If it passes, then it's only as good an OCer as my 3000+ Winnie. If it fails, well...

Mini-Update 3: Prime bombed just after I hit the button to submit Mini-Update 2!!!

Mini-Update 4: Looks like the forecast in Update 1 was bunk - currently attrmpting to Prime 2560 MHz on same 1.57-1.58 VCore. Whatever the final Prime stable result is, it's gonna be academic - this chip is headed for FS/FT.

Mini-Update 5: 12+ hour Prime results and final OC (for now) reported.

Things are screwy for me. My board hasn't even put a beta bios out for these cores. I can't 1M Super PI even at default settings but i've gone an hour of prime95 sfft's @ 2850mhz 1.47volts. I think until we start seeing proper bios updates our results are gonna be murky. Which Super PI are you guys using? I have the 1.4 mod.

I'm running the 310 BIOS on the Ultra-D... this is supposed to be validated for Venice by DFI... I think Jeff and I got a couple of craptastic chips

This isn't looking too bright & rosy, especially considering these are 3500+s, & 2500 MHz seems to be all we can hope for.

Doesn't really surprise me, but i was hoping that by some luck, we'd all be able to hit 3 GHz land.

I'm thinkin' that will be reserved for San Diego's later this year...

Wow... I'm glad I held off on buying a chip. If no more than 2.6Ghz can be had reliably then I'll just stick with my current setup

Yeah, results have been dissapointing so far, the exception being Koyanisquatsi, who got 2850mhz at 1.47volts, with prime stable for an hour so far. That's pretty impressive, and something very few winnies did.

So 1/3 has been good so far.

Sorry to the guys who've only gotten to 2.5/2.6, and thanks all three of you for taking time to post your results.

A lot of guys with Phase change are hitting 3-3.3ghz on Xtreme... maybe you just got a few bad chips here so far.
