I know that my vent is dumb as sh|t. But sometimes people piss you off, especially friends. Anyways, I'm not here to judge you, so let me know the times your friends (they don't have to be friends, but whatever) have really pissed you off....to the point of wanting to punch them in the face. Don't say, "They shouldn't be your friends if you want to punch them" because that's BS. Anyways, here's mine (I told you it's stupid):

I was sitting on a couch and I left to take a piss. I called savers (whatever you call it, I don't care). I came back and he took my seat. I told him to get up, I then asked him to get up, I then asked with a please, then pleaded. It went beyond trying to just fvck with a friend, it got to the point of who is alpha male style. It just really frustrated me that he wouldn't let me have my seat back, for no reason other than to try to prove he had more power (which he doesn't, but you probably don't believe that and I don't care either way). Anyways, I told you it was stupid. So now I'm listening to CSN&Y and home by myself. Clearly, I did not win. So, let me know your stories, so we can all heal together.

Sorry for the length, I know AT is not the place for essays

You called 'savers'?? What are you, 12? lol i dunno, when i get pissed at friends its usually over something bigger than "he took my chair." Although I did get into a fight back in high school over someone taking my chair. Some punk in Calc decided that the desk I was sitting in was "his" desk so when I got up, he jumped into my chair and pushed my stuff off the desk. I told him to move it or we meet outside after class. He chose the latter. We both learned a valuable lesson. He learned not to take my seat, and I learned not to punch buck-toothed fvcktards in the face barefisted. I still find it hard to believe that after 11 years of martial arts training, no one ever thought to mention that to me.

My best friend of two years in high school, it turned out, was only using me (taking advantage of my kindness basically) so he could graduate early without having to do anything himself.

It could be he felt the need to assert his alpha male dominance after you were a sissy and called "savers."

I wish my friends would stop acting so old.

If we go out on a Saturday night, by midnight, everyone else is yawning and complaining about being tired. it's like, wtf! you're only 24. midnight = early. I also hate that we seem to do the same things every time we go out... hang out at someone's house, either go bowling or go see a movie, go to dinner at one of 3 restaurants, and then go home to go to sleep. it gets really boring sometimes.

incidently... the true alpha male doesn't ask for his seat back, nor does he ask anyone to save it for him. he either takes it back with force or his alpha-ness is so established that no one else would dare take his seat

Yeah, I should have figured these type of responses. People who want to talk sh|t more than they want to talk. To SynthDude2001, thanks for the response, you're a good person. Everyone else, you're not as adult as you think. To say that you've never gotten mad over something trivial is an obvious lie. The point of this post was to confront the trivial, but oh well. BTW, DJFuji, I'm no adult, but I'm not some kid either, sometimes stupid sh|t happens, no matter how old you are.

Edit: Wrote before seeing Loki's post. But no, alpha male is not the same in our group. It's a close group (alpha-wise), but it's obvious who is a leader and who is not.

when the room is packed someone may call seat check when they get up, but we move when they come back. we are all >21.
we are all cool though. i don't think anyone would get bent out of shape if someone refused to move... seems immature for someone to refuse to move or for someone to get pissed if someone refused to move.
although really, calling seat check is pretty rediculous to begin with.
i suck at posting, sorry

For the record, I wasn't talking sh!t. I was merely stating that I haven't heard someone call "savers" since 7th grade. And even THEN we made fun of him.

Imagine if I posted a story about how I was annoyed because a friend and I said something at the same time and I called "jinx" first and he ignored it and kept talking when he was supposed to not be able to talk until someone said his name.

I understand what you're saying, but we still do shotgun rules, so what do you expect? It's not that we're childish, it's just that we know each other enough that we have rules in place for these types of things. I told you it was stupid, but....that's the way we are. I love my friends, but I that's how it is sometimes.

No, I'm angry because I wanted to hear other people's stories of when they got irrationally angry. That was the point, but almost no one got it. So, nevermind.

Sorry I don't have any of those kinds of stories...
