So you watched a bunch of HD videos ... let me know how much data you're using streaming HD videos...
He did say he has unlimited data. Unlike AT&T, Verizon doesn't throttle its unlimited users.

Based on what that person described he did all day, and the 15% figure he said he had remaining...Yes, I'd say it's atrocious. The battery life on the DNA is definitely not "atrocious". Like I said before, it's no Razr Maxx, but it's at least on par with the SGS3 (most reviews rate it a little better.)
I use my phone more than F2F's example, don't anywhere near down to 15%.

Both my brother's OneX and SGS3 can do all of that and have more than 15% battery remaining.
If your last statement is true, then all I can say is "that's encouraging".
Maybe he has a defective unit, maybe you have an exemplary unit, I don't know.
People need to be posting more details(like on screen time, etc...) about their battery info rather than just stating "I did this and that, came home and it was x%."

AT&T changed their unlimited data usage policy a long time ago. They do but from what I understand its fair. Basically the top 5% of data users on a particular node are throttled only when the node is saturated. Service level returns to normal once the node falls below 100% utilization or you move to an uncongested node.
There is no monthly cap or limit on 4g from what I understand.

Just checked I'm at 5 GB since the 21st and still pulling 30+ mbps.
Also battery at 54% after 7 hrs with at least 5 of that screen on and browsing all morning.
There is also GS4 around the corner.
The GS4 I assume will be a 1080P AMOLED Display, Quad-core Exynos 5 and a 5" screen. It will probably have a bigger battery than the DNA and SD card slot as well. From what I have read the AMOLED panels use more power than the SLCD so a bigger battery may be needed. If all of this is true, I will still be happy with my DNA purchase even for it's shortcomings.
Are the icons supposed to be that color or are is that an artifact of display? Icon looks green on s3, red on nexus4, and white on DNA?
Is it that bad really? That looks severely exaggerated. The DNA is awesome but the other two can't be that bad. Anything looks bad under 10000x zoom.

The macro will tend to exaggerate the differences. It's hard to not be impressed by the DNA though.
