Just ordered some Verizon High Speed internet. I haven't had verizon for 4 years now thinking they would change by now. I ordered online and it promised a free modem. Got an email indicating they would charge me 34.99 for a modem.
Called the number on the bottom of the email and got connected to India.
Was bounced around a couple of times to 4 different agents. The first one (india) said he can't modify my account. The 2nd one said he needs to connect me to tech support to verify the modem is in fact free. The last person (india) said that it's not free (i'm some how lying). I asked to speak to her super. I was transfered to a line full of static and an indian with a heavy accent. He was polite at first but then he had to keep repeating himself because a combination of his accent or the phone quality being poor. He finally told me sir the modem is "34.99 what do you want me to do". I kept bugging him and he just gave up and said "sir ok i will credit your account 34.99"?
