Verizon Sucks donkey balls

Just ordered some Verizon High Speed internet. I haven't had verizon for 4 years now thinking they would change by now. I ordered online and it promised a free modem. Got an email indicating they would charge me 34.99 for a modem.

Called the number on the bottom of the email and got connected to India.

Was bounced around a couple of times to 4 different agents. The first one (india) said he can't modify my account. The 2nd one said he needs to connect me to tech support to verify the modem is in fact free. The last person (india) said that it's not free (i'm some how lying). I asked to speak to her super. I was transfered to a line full of static and an indian with a heavy accent. He was polite at first but then he had to keep repeating himself because a combination of his accent or the phone quality being poor. He finally told me sir the modem is "34.99 what do you want me to do". I kept bugging him and he just gave up and said "sir ok i will credit your account 34.99"?

WTF kind of service is this....

I signed up online.

I went though the whole shabang of new service. Like a new customer.

Notthing confusing.

I actually got the 27 a month for 3meg price for like and yes the gift card and free modem as well as first month was stated online.

I don't understand how hard it is to fix this kind of problem. I'm surprised by now they don't have a system. A good system. I got rid of them like 4 years ago because the speed was shitty. Now they are promising 3meg down.

Yea they suck. I canceled my DSL/phone account 2 months ago and they keep charging me for DSL, except a higher rate because I don't have phone service anymore.

I also notice they do a lot of ass kissing techniques. Like they summarize at the end and say sorry if they mispronounce your name and are almost overly nice. I don't know what the purpose of this is for. Just be nice and get the job done. That's all I f-ing care about. If I were connected to one agent who wasen't ass kissing like this but got the job done at one place I'm happy.

My Dad's switching from Dish to FIOS because a tree is in the way of the hi def satellite. I would've gotten the tree topped, but he's pretty psyched. There would have to be a huge advantage to get me to switch.

yeah when i had to call in for a DSL billing issue (i needed paper bills again), i was routed to india and their CS was utterly unresponsive.
I haven't used any other ISP but as right now i don't recommend their internet service.

My service is finally working. But soon after I got an email from verizon indicating they increased my rate from 27.00 a month to 31.99 which is false because I orderd it online with the price for life. It's a bitch trying to get them to change it. I'm connected to one person who can't change my account information and I get transfered to another person who can't even hears me and hangs up. I'm about 2 mins away from filing a claim at the Maryland Public Utilities commision. I'm trying to get a super now..... Sitting on the phone for like 20 mins WTF kind of ISP is this.

seems like verizon is a side step from comcast. im switching to fios and i've been on hold for 30 minutes to get to an operator... blargh at least i get more for what i pay for i guess

Here is a tip when calling VZ, and do not want to navigate the menus. Just Keep saying "agent" when a question is asked, this should bring you to a live person.

I've heard nothing but horror stories from verizon... and my dad has had nothing but trouble with them. I'm very happy that verizon hasn't yet infiltrated Alaska. They can keep their stupid asses down south (or better yet, shrivel up and die). My local ISP>other ISPs>dog shit>>>verizon.
