after the way they treated me with billing and support, I didnt really mind giving up unlimited data.

Tmobile has flaws but they treat me like a valued customer, so overall I am happy.

Right now in America there is no perfect service. You go with what you like, what works for you.

Well from my experience with Android phones (which has been amazing, with root access of course), however, iPs can stay new for a longer time (if that makes sense). My mom's iP5 still feels new, it still works wonders for what I do (texting, reddit, etc). My gnex, after a year or so, it started to show signs of slowness.

Same with my Nex4. It was starting to feel a bit sluggish. What I did: full backup of OS, apps and data, load a new ROM with format of FS, re-load apps from store and restore ONLY data. Back to like-new!

I wish i had your luck with a reset. Even after a reset and then a full change to ShinyROM, my GNex never felt anywhere near as snappy as it did new. I've read dozens of threads that the GNex is just a crappy phone. I agree... shit battery life, slow performance, terrible radio switching (gets stuck on 3G), and subpar sound (speakers and mic).

Unless you actually need to have 30GB of data per month. Then unlimited starts looking pretty good I would thing

Disclaimer: No math was done, just talking out of my ass.

Well when I had my Verizon unlimited I didn't actually "need" it. Since I had the option to I just rarely every turned on WiFi. I still have unlimited with T-Mobile and just checked my last couple of bills and I hit about 5GB a month. This is with WiFi on at home and work.

Also congrats on the new phone. I did the move from a Verizon Gnex to an iPhone 5s. Wait to have your mind blown of more than 2-4 hour battery life!
