So, even the starter kits are different! The starter kit for Comcast@home has two cables (one five foot, one twenty-five foot), a splitter, and the software. We don't have ATT cable where I am in Southeast Michigan, we have Comcast cable and Ameritech Cable.
I have been using Comcast since they started here about three years ago. The service has slowed up as more people signed up, but is still much faster than anything else offered. Other than occasionaly email problems whiich mostly consist of delayed receipt and delivery, it has been pretty reliable. I have checked out all the DSL offers as they come up and there is never anything close enough for me to consider.
Since I couldn't care less about sports, I have basic cable service which costs me $9 and gives me the same channels as limited, about 60. I pay another $41 for internet service. Owning the modem will knock off $10 a month.
Someone asked me for the complete rebate form, but they are only good for the person who bought the items -- the names are preprinted on the rebate form.
Here is the rebate address:
Comcast $100 Promo
Dept 26527
P.O. Box 52900
Phoenix, AZ 85072
I would think you could ask at Circuit City for the program number 26527 as printed on the form, and they could look it up in the system.
